Who is insured?

  • The cardholder whose name is embossed on the card and who uses it for the transaction.
  • Anyone else driving the rental vehicle with your permission, as long as they comply with the rental agreement and are legally permitted to drive in the jurisdiction of use.

From when am I covered, and for how long?

Coverage begins the moment you legally take possession of the rental vehicle and ends when the rental agency reassumes control of the vehicle, with a maximum rental period of 48 consecutive days. Note: If the rental exceeds 48 days, no coverage is provided from day one of the rental period.

In which countries am I covered? Am I covered worldwide?

Yes, you are covered worldwide, except in jurisdictions where this coverage violates local laws or rental agreements. Coverage is applicable for rentals conducted in compliance with the card policy and the rental agency terms.

To benefit from the coverage, does the trip need to be paid in full with the card?

Yes, to benefit from the insurance coverage, the full rental cost, including any applicable taxes, must be charged to your card.
