This coverage is activated in the following situations occurring before your trip, fully paid with your card or points/miles:
- You or your travel companion experience an accidental injury, death, or illness that prevents travel.
- A change in military orders for you or your spouse.
- Severe weather that makes it unsafe to start or continue a trip. This includes weather at the trip’s starting point before departure and along the travel route before departure.
- Significant property damage such as water damage, burglary, fire, etc., occurring at your home.
- Travel warning issued by the U.S. government near your home or destination.
It allows reimbursement of prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses paid with the card if you need to cancel your trip for covered reasons. It does not include event tickets such as museum tickets or golf courses booking.
Example: Jessica has to cancel her trip to Europe because she fell seriously ill. Her doctor provides a certificate stating that she is unable to fly for her planned stay in the Balearic Islands. The costs of her flight and hotel are reimbursed by her card insurance."

Content Insurance Card Cash Back World Elite Mastercard SCU
This benefit extends your original warranty by an additional year if the original warranty was less than 3 years. The coverage is limited to the item's original purchase price (as shown on your credit card receipt), minus shipping and handling fees, with a maximum limit of $1000 per claim.
This coverage protects your mobile device purchased with your card against all risks of accidental loss, accidental damage, or mechanical breakdown for two years from the date of purchase. It covers the costs of repair or replacement of your mobile device.
The purchase protection insurance covers theft or accidental damage of items fully paid with the card or the card's loyalty points up to -1 days after the purchase date.
