The costs of an iPhone between the 36 countries we compared are very different from one to another. We notice that the iPhone prices are relatively low in Asia, meanwhile in Europe is faced with quite expansive prices.

On the other hand, the price of an iPhone 15 in the United States is much lower than other countries, especially European countries, and Turkey. But how can we explain it? By analyzing the current situation in the U.S., we notice that the main factors leading to the low cost of iPhone 14 are the exclusion of sales tax in its price (as it differs from one US state to another) and the exchange rate (collapse of the Turkish lira since 2021 against the USD).

Since the release of the iPhone 13, this gap between the most expensive and the cheapest iPhone in the world has continued to widen. Today the difference between the United States ($1211) and Turkey ($2672) is about $ 1,261 for purchasing an iPhone 15.

Methodology

In this study, HelloSafe wanted to compare the various prices of the iPhone 15 displayed in Canada and around the world, so that Canadian consumers are better able to compare the prices of a popular product in today's society. This study is based on information from public and private sources such as Apple.com. Prices have been converted into Canadian dollars with the 27 of September 2023 exchange rate. The map is therefore likely to change rapidly, in particular due to variable exchange rates, and thus has an indicative value.

In addition to its expert editorial line around insurance and financial products, HelloSafe offers broader topics relating to global consumption in Canada and around the world. Its aim is to decipher certain complex subjects for consumers and to provide everyone with the latest information.
