Wedding celebrations in BC up 2.9% in 2022 compared to 2019, the pre-Covid levels finally surpassed!

Increased revenue for BC’s wedding industry is linked to more weddings being celebrated in the province. In the first six months of 2022, weddings are up 44.5% vs the same period in 2021 or 9,864 versus 6,973 weddings.

BC's wedding industry has already generated $145 million more in revenues during the first half of the year than in 2021

After two very difficult years, the wedding industry is back in BC! With 9,864 marriages celebrated between January and June 2022 in BC, the pre-Covid levels have been passed. "Only" 9,587 marriages were celebrated during the first half of the year 2019, which represents a 2.9% increase in 2022.

The wedding industry revenues in BC could therefore reach unprecedented levels in 2022, with an annual revenue that could exceed $1.5 billion.
